The climate
The climate is of tropical type with local differences according to the height.
One account 3 seasons:
- From the middle of March up to August: no rain and the heat is bearable with fresh(cool) nights and a good period of sunshine,
- From September till October: no rain, but the heat is extreme,
- From November till the middle of March: it is the rainy season, the more plentiful rains in the North.
Zambia is surrounded by Angola, the democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.
The country in the form of croissant is a kind of border between central, southern Africa and east Africa. The natural landscapes are hills, heights-trays and bush. Streams as Zambeze or Kafue drew valleys in the landscapes.
The country also counts numerous lakes (Bangwelu, Moero, Tanganyika, Kariba). The main river is Zambeze, with which the dam of Kariba supplies the country to electricity.
The economy of Zambia bases on the agriculture, the exploitation of the mines of copper and cobalt and on the tourism.
Zambia considers the biggest national parks of Africa and the most impressive waterfalls of Africa, the Victoria Falls.
